He goes from the half hour pregame show and intermission bumpers to 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Plus he is the host and producer. It's a nice step for a loyal company guy.
I can see where it might be a demotion, but if you can get more Brian Duff, you do it. |

I find him to be pretty insightful, actually.
Overall, I hope this is a move to get Duff more into the swing of things and transition Sylvester into more of an "on air personality" role. At least I could choose not to listen to his show.

12-3:00 - local/national sport hightlight show
3:00-6:00 - Schoop/Bulldog (not crazy bout this on)
6:00 - Pre-Game shows (Sabres, local Big 4 and High School)
7:00 -Sabres Games etc
10:00 -Post game
11:00 - Highlight Show
Really show local HS talent, would to a great venue fir this crazy sports town!!

Thing about Empire, it was backed by a cable distributor with a near monopoly on regional tv subscribers. Pegula doesn't own any of thy, and faces a more fragmented delivery landscape than when the Rigases where robbing people blind.
Not to say it can't happen, but there are major obstacles to it going down. I'd dig it though. |
